Optima Batteries
Known worldwide as the top performance battery for automotive and marine applications, Optima first became associated with World Challenge in 2009. During the 2010 season, Optima Batteries will bring race fans the “drivers, start your engines” command from pit lane during all 12 World Challenge Championship events.

World Challenge fans watching the races at the track or on Versus in HD will also see which driver earned the Optima Battery Best Standing Start, for their performance when the lights go out at each race.

“We are very pleased that Optima Batteries is again the Official Battery of World Challenge,” said Dave Drimmie, WC Vision’s VP, Marketing and Communications. “As was proven during our 2009 season, Optima batteries are exceptionally durable and reliable and a natural choice for World Challenge race cars.”

Optima Batteries also becomes the presenting sponsor of the Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend presented by Optima Batteries at Mosport International Raceway, May 21-23.

“We are excited about Optima Batteries’ expanded partnership with World Challenge and the race teams again this year,” Optima Director of Product Development and Marketing Cam Douglass said. “The Optima brand is all about high performance, and we love proving this on the race track.”
