Shea Racing Partners with K&N and Lucas Oil for the 2011 Touring Car Season

Orlando, FL – Shea Racing is pleased to announce their partnership with K&N and Lucas Oil for the 2011 World Challenge Touring Car Season.

“It’s exciting to have partnered with well-known companies in the motorsports industry. It’s a privilege and we’re shooting for podium finishes this year in our No. 67 Honda Civic Si,” Holbrook said. Last year Holbrook and team finished 6th place in the Touring Car Championship. According to the series archives, Holbrook is one of the youngest female drivers to take the grid in World Challenge.

Jeff Holbrook, team owner is striving for excellence. “We’re entering the 2011 season with winning attitudes. Shea has put a tremendous amount of effort into her racing career and K&N and Lucas Oil are our driving force.” Holbrook has partnered with K&N for three years now and her achievements on and off track helped advance their partnership to a new level. “We look for a combination of things depending on the type of racing but the universal subjects would be that the team or driver has to put more into it than just drive. We like to see things like drivers promoting themselves, networking with other companies, and making themselves fan friendly,” said Bob Harris, K&N’s corporate race accounts manager.

K&N is a leading and innovative filter technology company for automotive applications. K&N has hit the motorsports market worldwide. “To be an image for K&N is unbelievable and I’m extremely thankful to be a part of it,” said Holbrook.

Establishing a new partnership with Lucas Oil could help launch Holbrook’s stardom on the race track. Lucas Oil is a manufacturer of petroleum additives and oils for high performance engines. “Our partnership with Lucas Oil came about quickly. Shea Racing, K&N, and Lucas Oil are a perfect match,” said Holbrook. Holbrook is excited to be a part of Team Lucas and their all American attitude. Tom Bogner, Director of Motorsports for Lucas Oil said, “We’re thrilled to have Shea on board. We’re investing in each other, and really looking forward to the Grand Prix of Long Beach with her.”

Holbrook is no stranger to the Honda Performance Development (HPD) program. HPD and Holbrook have further grown their relationship and have high expectations. HPD specializes in the design and development of race engines, chassis and performance parts and provides technical race support. HPD is also the single engine supplier to the IndyCar Series and leases engines for prototype sports car racing in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and European Le Mans Series (LMS). “I want to be a part of something innovative, that’s HPD. Honda enthusiasts are some of the greatest fans you’ll ever meet. We race what you drive, and that’s what’s so eye catching about World Challenge,” said Holbrook.

Wealth Shield Financial and Holbrook are also partnering for the 2011 season. Wealth Shield Financials specialties are, estate, business continuity, investment and retirement planning. “I know Shea personally. She’s driven, has a fantastic attitude, and is a winner. It was an easy decision partnering with her,” managing partner Matt Lang said. It is Shea Racing’s intention to race a whole season with World Challenge this year. Holbrook is locked in to attending the Grand Prix of St. Pete’s and Long Beach with a large following of fans and Duchenne muscular dystrophy families. Holbrook’s goal is to continue raising awareness and funds for Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy throughout the race season.
