Cooper MacNeil to debut in the new North American Ferrari Challenge Series

Hinsdale, IL. American rising road racing star Cooper MacNeil has announced he will compete in the 2011 version of the North American Ferrari Challenge Series driving a brand new Ferrari 458 Challenge car to be prepared by Ferrari stalwarts Risi Competizione.

MacNeil will look to the six race calender to secure even more seat-time to coincide with his duties driving in the Patrón GT3 Challenge by Yokohama and select SCCA National SafeRacer contests.

“I am very fortunate and excited to be driving this brand new car in the first year of the 458 series. I am also really looking forward to running with Risi Competizione. We tested the new 458 Challenge car at PBIR with Ferrari and loved it. The car had giant brakes that surprised me and the 7 speed double clutch transmission was so smooth. I am looking forward to a great season in the WeatherTech/Risi Competizione Ferrari,” MacNeil quoted about the addition to his growing 2011 schedule.

MacNeil is supported exclusively by MacNeil Automotive Products and WeatherTech with exclusive partnerships from Risi Competizione, Alex Job Racing, Fall-Line Motorsports, Laurel BMW of Westmont and ProMotion Driver Development for 2011.
