This fast passed, opinionated news show format will primarily cover sports car, Rally and open wheel racing in the US and Canada and will follow several Pro series such as Grand Am, ALMS, World Challenge, Rally Car, Indycar and Trans Am. But the show will also shed light on what is going on with amateur, entry level Pro and grassroots series like SCCA and NASA club racing, Star Mazda Championship, F2000 Championship and Canadian Touring Car.
The shows aim is to fill the void left in the Sports car grassroots racing community with the cancellation of the Internet show “Shifting Gears”.
“Fans of GoRacingTV have asked us since we started the site if we planned on bringing Sifting Gears back alive on our site. It seemed to be a widely popular show and although I’m not sure of the reason for it’s demise, I think there is a need for a show that pays attention to what is going on in the amateur, entry level Pro and grassroots racing world. We hope to fill the void” Said Errol Tucker Sr. the show‘s Executive Producer.
The show will have four hosts who are not shy about stating their opinions and thoughts. Hosts are:
Peter Keane (Team engineer for Spirit of Daytona Racing Team and former member of the SCCA CRB) Peter brings his poignant opinions and years of technical racing experience to the show.
Bill Wood (Rally America Television Analyst and One of four on-air talents of SpeedFreaks) Bill bring Thirty plus years in the communications industry including: broadcasting, print, Internet, multimedia, corporate communications, education and training program development. Academy of Television Arts and Sciences: 2 Emmys (1994, 1998), and 11 nominations. Radio and Television News Assoc: 4 Golden Mikes: (1988, 1989, 2 1994). Associated Press Best of the West: (1995), 2 APTRA nominations. RTNDA: Regional Edward R. Murrow National & Finalist: (1999).
Randy Pobst (2010 SCCA World Challenge GT Champion and writer for SportsCar Magazine) Randy brings a wealth of sportscar racing experience with his five WC GT Championships and two class wins in the 24 Hours of Daytona. Randy will join us on the show from time to time as one of our driver analyst.
Chip Herr (Professional Race car driver for teams like Tindol Motorsport, STaSIS Engineering with a carrier 8 WC victories and multiple podium finishes). Chip is not stranger to the camera, he has been featured as an up and coming driver on Speedtv.com and National Speed Sport News Chip was Co-Host / Test Driver for the TV show SportsCar Revolution. Chip will join us on the show from time to time as one of our driver analyst.
Andy Pilgrim (Professional Race car driver for Cadillac and GM Racing in the SCCA World Challenge GT Series) a British-born racing driver, who became a United States citizen in 1998. He began racing an IMSA Renault Cup (a semi-pro entry level series) Renault Alliance in the 80′s. His serious professional racing began in 1996 when he made his 24 Hours of Le Mans debut. He joined the Chevrolet Corvette factory team in 1999. In 2001 he was selected as Dale Earnhardt and Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s teammate in the 24 Hours of Daytona and the team finished second in class. He left the Corvette program in 2004 but stayed with General Motors, driving for the winning team at the Daytona 24 in a Doran-Pontiac and spending the rest of the season driving for the new Cadillac CTS-V factory team in the SPEED World Challenge GT Series. The following year Pilgrim won the driver’s championship in that series in his CTS-V. Staying with the team, he finished 3rd and 2nd in the series in 2006 and 2007. He also made his NASCAR Busch Series debut, driving two road course races for Dale Earnhardt, Jr.’s JR Motorsports team. In 2008 he continued to drive the SPEED World Challenge CTS-V, although it is now a privateer team rather than a factory program, sponsored by Remington.
In 2009, Andy joined Randy Pobst as part of the K-Pax team, campaigning the Volvo S60 in the SPEED World Challenge.
Errol Tucker Sr. (Host of GoRacingTV.com’s Club Racer and GoRacingTV Minute Shows. Errol is the Executive Producer of GoRacingTV.com) Tucker has brought years of two wheeled racing experience with him to automobile road racing. He started at the club level of motorcycle road racing with a Suzuki GXR750 and moved to the AMA pro series on a Honda RS250 and was sponsored by ACID Cigars. Tucker then moved over to auto road racing competing in SCCA, NASA and EMRA club racing events in the Spec Miata class. He has also made appearances in the Grand Am Koni Challenge series driving a Mazda RX8 with Roar Racing
