James Hinchcliffe started from the pole position in the Firestone Indy Lights season opener March 28 on the temporary St. Petersburg street circuit.

It was a short-lived advantage as his No. 2 TMR-Xtreme Coil Drilling car was taken out in a Turn 1 incident.

Hinchcliffe and the series move on — to Barber Motorsports Park this weekend, where Hinchcliffe and most of the other drivers entered have tested.
