GoRacingTV Minute Tues April 20 2010

Welcome to the GoRacingTV Minute, a 60 second update on the new and happenings in the sport of racing.

Indycar.com reports that Finding sponsorship to compete in the top echelon of open-wheel racing has always been a barrier for talented race drivers. Joel Miller is one such driver.
After enjoying success in all the lower formula, Miller spent most of the off season pounding the pavement of the road to Indy to secure a ride in the Firestone Indy Lights race at the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach.

Now, Miller is taking his case to the fans. Miller has launched the website www.jMillerIndy.com in hopes of raising enough funds to compete in the Firestone Freedom 100 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 28.

alms.com reports that The American Le Mans Series presented by Tequila Patrón’s fourth visit to Long Beach may have been its best yet. The largest field for any race at the fabled street circuit in more than 15 years didn’t disappoint during the Tequila Patrón American Le Mans Series at Long Beach.

The race will go down as one of the most thrilling in recent memory thanks to Simon Pagenaud’s last-lap pass in Patrón Highcroft Racing’s HPD ARX-01c to beat pole-sitter Adrian Fernandez and Aston Martin Racing by just 0.353 seconds

That’s it for this 20th day of April 2010. Check back with us on Thursaday for another GoRacingTV Minute.
