VIR was bustling this weekend with on track action from Grand AM, MX5 Cup and VW TDI Cup to name a few.

Grandam.com is reporting that Scott Pruett survived a pair of late-race restarts and a strong challenge by Burt Frisselle in the Prototype class to win Saturday’s Bosch Engineering 250 before a record crowd.

While in the GS class Turner Motorsport’s pit strategy worked to perfection in Saturday’s Bosch Engineering VIR 200 at Virginia International Raceway, while other teams were forced to make late-race pit stops and give up track position at Virginia International Raceway.

VW.com is reporting that Virginia Native Ryan Ellis has started the season off on a good foot with two Wins this Weekend in the Volkswagen Jetta TDI Cup series

mx-5cup.com also reports Brad Rampelberg, of San Jose, Calif., edged Dean Copeland, of Bowie, Md., by just 0.024-second at VIRginia International Raceway in the closest SCCA Pro Racing Playboy Mazda MX-5 Cup race in the history of the series.
