May 24, 2010
24 May 2010-Seventeen year old high school senior Sloan Urry will pilot the SpeedWorks No. 45 car at Lime Rock Park on May 28 – 29. Urry, from Park City, Utah, began racing last year after attending the Ford Racing High Performance Driving School at Miller Motorsports Park.
After successfully completing the school, Urry immediately entered two Mustang Challenge division races as part of the 2009 Miller Park Racing Association (MPRA) series, finishing 7th and 6th respectively. He is currently on top of the points leader board in the 2010 MPRA Mustang Challenge division, with two first-place finishes and two fourth place finishes in the first four races of the season.
Urry and SpeedWorks team regular, Chip Scarlett, have met once before on the track, competing last year in the final race of the MPRA 2009 season. Urry finished sixth, Scarlett was eighth. Urry’s goal for Lime Rock is to experience a different level of racing and to finish in the top half of the pack.
