2012 Logson Group BRSCC Porsche Championship Round 3 Cadwell
Rain, rain and yet more rain was the order of the weekend at Snetterton at the last round of the LOGSON GROUP PORSCHE CHAMPIONSHIP, so all the drivers will be looking forward to hopefully brighter conditions at Cadwell Park this weekend for rounds 6&7 of the Championship!
Looking at the grid of cars in the ‘full fat’ Boxster class, it will be difficult to predict a winner. Do not expect Richard Sykes to get it all his own way in the newer and more powerful 987 variant Boxster around this tricky and twisty Cadwell Park track. Snapping at his heels will be the two Taylors Foundry ‘Boxster Boys’ in the shape of Rick Styrin and Gerry Taylor. Styrin is desperate for a win after a difficult first two meetings of the season. The Bearman brothers, John and David, had a meeting to forget here last year, but on current form a podium is well on the cards today. Dark horses? Newcomer Tom Andrew is settling into the Boxster class well and has not been far from the podium on more than one occasion this year. Arjo Ghosh is another driver on the move as is Steve Boyles in his new 987 model. Previous 924 frontrunner Adam Croft will be more than pleased to put Snetterton behind him and get back towards the front of the grid as we arrive at Cadwell Park, as will Mike Sellar, who was beset with vision problems in the terrible weather at the last meeting. Ian Loggie will also be back in action today – the LOGSON GROUP MD was wisely in sunnier climes for the Snetterton meeting!
