ATTERBURY TO JOIN BLACKSTOCK IN STARSTRUCK FORD MUSTANGN

Shelby Blackstock will have a new co-driver for the remainder of the GRAND-AM
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Shelby Blackstock will have a new co-driver for the remainder of the GRAND-AM Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. Joey Atterbury will join Blackstock, the son of famed country music/acting superstar Reba McEntire, in the Roush Performance No. 51 Starstruck Ford Mustang Boss 302R, beginning with this weekend’s test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
Blackstock, driving his first full season in the series, captured the pole position for the 2012 opener at Daytona International Speedway. He has three top-10 finishes this season, including a career best eighth at New Jersey Motorsports Park.
Atterbury is in his third season in the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge. He has two seventh-place finishes this season, with his career best a fourth at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in 2011.
Roush Performance is in its third year of GRAND-AM competition. The team has seven victories, scored by Jack Roush Jr. and Billy Johnson in the team’s No. 61 Ford Mustang Boss 302R.
The two-day test at Indianapolis Motor Speedway is in preparation for the July 27 Kroger Super Weekend at the Brickyard, when the Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge joins the Rolex Sports Car Series in GRAND-AM’s competition debut at the legendary facility.
