Marcelli Wins Pole Position at Lime Rock Park
(Lakeville, Connecticut) – It’s round four of the American Le Mans Series Presented By Tequila Patron at Lime Rock Park. Under sunny conditions it was 22-year old, Merchant Services Racing driver Kyle Marcelli that earned the pole position in the LMPC category. Setting a fast lap of 47.249, it marked a new qualifying lap record for the spec prototype class at the 1.5-mile “Bull Ring”.
2012 is definitely the most competitive year to date for the LMPC category of the American Le Mans Series. The class features a long list of talented professional drivers. It was RSR’s Bruno Junqueira that put most pressure Marcelli in today’s qualification.
The green flag is scheduled to drop at 3:05pm EST tomorrow afternoon. Kyle Marcelli is co-driving the #8 Merchant Services Racing entry with Anthony Downs. Stay tuned for results.
