2012 Scottish Mini Cooper Cup Meeting 3 Oulton Park

Celtic Speed Scottish Mini Cooper Cup champion David Sleigh left the latest double-header at Croft, near Darlington, having seen his advantage in the 2012 campaign cut.

While the Edinburgh racer could only manage a third and a fourth, it was Carl Bradley and Glasgow’s Malcolm McNab who took the wins.

The opening race saw Bradley, who has switched from the Renault Clio Championship, finish comfortably ahead of Edinburgh’s Tim Sleigh, 2.255secs adrift, and brother David.

McNab, who finished sixth in the opener, started from second position on the reverse grid for the second race alongside polesitter, Thornhill’s Ross Wylie.

While Hawick’s Hamish Brandon was spun on to the grass second after the start, McNab had eased himself into the lead by the end of the first lap.
