DANIEL RAMOUTARSINGH AND JR MOTORSPORTS HEAD TO BRAINERD FOR ROUNDS 7 AND 8 IN THE SCCA PRO RACING SERIES TRANS-AM SERIES FROM BIR
Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Pro Racing is bringing the Trans-Am Series back to Brainerd International Raceway this summer, but this year’s version will be bigger and better than ever.
The BIR race, scheduled for Sept. 2-4 on the 2.5-mile, 13-turn Competition Road Course, will be a doubleheader weekend for the series, which means that there will be full races on Saturday as well as Sunday. “We are very excited to make our first appearance at this Historic venue to the Trans-Am Series”, states Daniel. “It is our intention to match, if not improve on, our most recent race results!”
The Jaguar Dealership of Minneapolis will be bringing many Jaguar owners/enthusiasts to attend the SCCA Trans-Am event at Brainerd. “JR Motorsports feels very fortunate to have Jaguar of Minneapolis supporting our team this upcoming race weekend. We really hope to put on a great show for the Jaguar folks, as well as all of the fans. Many thanks go out to Trinrico Steel and Wire, the crew, and everyone involved that makes this possible for us!”
Race activities begin Saturday, September 3, with Practice and Qualifying in the morning, Race beginning at 3:40 pm. The first of 2 events will be 100 miles, or 40 laps. The second part of the Double –Header weekend, will commence Sunday morning, with Practice and qualifying in the morning again, Racing begins at 2:35 pm. The second race will be another 100 miles, or 40 laps.
