DANIEL RAMOUTARSINGH AND JR MOTORSPORTS QUALIFYING AT ROAD ATLANTA FOR THE FINAL ROUND OF THE SCCA PRO RACING TRANS-AM SERIES

Daniel Ramoutarsingh and JR Motorsports have begun running the final round of the Trans-Am Series at Road Atlanta in Braselton, GA.

Round 9 at Road Atlanta is a part of the ALMS Petit Le Mans weekend. Daniel is heading into the finale after a great Second place finish in the first part of the Double Header, Labor Day weekend event, held at Brainerd International Raceway in Brainerd, MN. Daniel will pilot the #18 Trinrico Steel & Wire Jaguar around the 2.54 Mile, 12 turn Road Course, that was recently Voted One of America’s Best Road Courses by Car and Driver magazine.
Qualifying session ran this afternoon under prime weather conditions. There was a competitor that went off the track, leaving behind quite a bit of debris. We got caught up in that debris on the track, damaging our tires. The #18 Trinrico Steel & Wire Jaguar will be starting from the back of the pack in tomorrow’s race, due to the tire change. “I am really looking forward to working my way through the field, hoping to improve on our previous finish, and round out the season in a positive way”, says Daniel.

The green flag will fly for the 100-mile Trans-Am race at 4:00 pm on Friday, September 30. Check out the Trans-Am Live Pitboard http://www.trans-amracing.com/transamlive for the timing & scoring data as well as session notes from the official series Twitter feed. You can also gain access to the Pitboard from the left navigation menu on each event page.
