Monte Carlo winner Bryan Bouffier will not be among the contenders for the Intercontinental Rally Challenge title in next week’s Cyprus decider after Peugeot decided to only send Thierry Neuville to the event. Bouffier is currently fifth in the standings, 21 points behind leader Jan Kopecky, but with double points on offer in Cyprus. Corsica and Sanremo winner Neuville is third, five points ahead of Bouffier. Neuville admitted that he would be an underdog in Cyprus given his limited gravel experience. Here’s more:

The Frenchman says the project will be his post-rallying future. The rallying legend twice raced in the Le Mans 24 Hours and other smaller events. Sebastien Loeb Racing will be a partnership with Loeb’s friend Dominique Heintz, and will run two cars in France’s Porsche Matmut Carrera Cup and a single car in the one-make prototype FLM class of the LMS. Loeb said he saw the sports car team as the focus of his post-WRC career. Here’s more:

The award win comes shortly before Abbring’s chance with Volkswagen’s young driver assessment program on next month’s Rally GB. He was one of the fastest because of his skill, his car and his methanol fuel. You can get inside all of it with Kevin during these few minutes.

Now, What Do You Think? this week: A recent You Tube comment had this suggestion for Sebastien Loeb: “Stop Winning!” I enjoy history and Loeb’s string of championships is historic. Would you like to see it stopped at seven during Rally GB? Yes, Absolutely! No, Loeb’s too tough! You can vote at www.ByBillWood.com. GET BUSY!! Take a minute to vote.
